A.R Rahman happy to wait for Rajnikanth

Usually, producers and directors tend to wait for music wizard A.R Rahman tocompose songs for their films as the musician is always caught in tight schedules. In the case of superstar Rajnikanth’s upcoming film ‘Raana’, though, the situation is entirely opposite.  A.R Rahman himself is said to be waiting for Rajini to bounce back into action and start shooting for ‘Raana’.

A.R Rahman is said to have composed four out of the six songs that have been planned for ‘Raana’.  The Oscar-award winning musician is said to be waiting for Rajnikanth to listen to those tunes and ‘approve’ them so that lyricist Vairamuthu can start penning the lyrics as per those tunes.  Rajnikanth, who is resting after his return from Singapore, is expected to approve the tunes in a few days’ time.

A.R Rahman doesn’t usually wait for any lead actors to approve his tunes.  In Rajnikanth’s case, though, he makes and exception and explains it at length.  “It’s an enjoyable experience to be work with superstar Rajnikanth; in fact, I’m a big fan of Rajnikanth. He has been there right from the start of my musical sojourn.  Many a time in the past, I have motivated myself after listening to his words during difficult times.

“I have learnt a lot from him.  I’m waiting for Rajini to return to action and start shooting for ‘Raana’ with his trademark enthusiasm.  I’m waiting for him to approve the tunes so that I can proceed further,” said A.R Rahman.
