AR Rahman's favourites

With AR Rahman’s latest Hollywood offering, 127 Hours, with Danny Boyle, making the headlines these days, there’s no doubt that the Mozart of Madras has become hot property abroad as well.

However, the ace music composer maintains that composing for Indian movies will always be his priority.

So, when the music composer was asked about his favourites among the songs that he has composed so far, without batting an eyelid, ARR said that Narumugaye… (Iruvar), Ennavale Adi Ennavale… (Kadhalan), Margazhi Thingal Allava… (Sangamam), Kadhal Theenda… (Udhaya) and Veerapandi Kottayile… (Thiruda Thiruda) were his top picks in Tamil.

Looks like Rahman is one of the few artistes who don’t forget their roots despite soaring high!
