Music maestro A.R.Rahman may be accumulating hordes of awards and accolades in Hollywood in the recent past, but his last few albums for Hindi films, ADA A WAY OF LIFE, JHOOTHA HI SAHI etc have met with a mixed response. In fact his last chartbusting album for Bollywood was way back in 2008 as GHAJINI, and though he received much critical acclaim via DELHI 6, BLUE and RAAVAN, commercial success has eluded him ever since. However it appears that Rahman is all set to stage a grand comeback through Imtiaz Ali’s ROCKSTAR.
When we had spoken to director Imtiaz Ali (just before he had started shooting) about the music of ROCKSTAR, he had told us that the music of ROCKSTAR, just like his previous two films (JAB WE MET and LOVE AAJ KAL), was going to be special, and the same was confirmed by the maestro himself when we spoke to him last year. He had said, “There will be lots of string sounds and vibrations.”
The promos of ROCKSTAR are out and they are being appreciated by all and moreover we have news from our very reliable trade sources (who are mostly on dot with their predictions) who say that the music of ROCKSTAR is truly super hit and it will take the nation by storm once the album is released.
Well, that is indeed good news for all concerned and especially those Rahamaniacs who are looking forward to hearing something special from the maestro soon.
