Sufi singer Harshdeep Kaur is in a special phase in her life – touring the world for shows with none other than music maestro A R Rahman. “Presently I am performing for Rahman ji on The Journey Home world tour and travelling many countries,” Kaur said. She has sung the popular song R.I.P under Rahman’s direction, from the recently released Hollywood movie 127 Hours, directed by Oscar winning director Danny Boyle.

Rahman has bagged two nominations at the 83rd Annual Academy Award in the original score category for his compositions in the film 127 Hours and for the original song If I rise from the same flick. Sharing her experience of working with A R Rahman, Kaur said, “Everyone wants to work with Rahman.

I feel myself to be very fortunate as I got the opportunity to work with him many times.” Earlier, she sang Ek Onkar for Rahman from the hugely appreciated soundtrack of Rang De Basanti. Beside this, she also sang in several B-town movies like Band Baaja Baaraat, Karz, Karam, Taxi -9211 and Guzaarish.
