‘Raavan' stars in Hyderabad

Actor Suhasini and film-maker Mani Ratnam with the stars of ”Raavan”, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram and Priyamani, during a media briefing in Hyderabad on Monday. The tri-lingual movie, a modern adaptation of the Ramayana, is co-produced by Reliance Big Pictures and Madras Talkies. It will be released on June 18 in over 40 screens across 30 cities and in the United States.

The unit of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan were in Hyderabad at hotel Taj Krishna to promote the trilingual (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) film. Suhasini Maniratnam introduced the artistes to the media and Mani Ratnam paid tributes to the departed writer Veturi Sundararama Murthy who had written all the songs in Raavan.

Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyamani shared their experiences of the film. In a poser to Mani Ratnam by Suhasini, the former answered there will be a Telugu film next year from him.

Raavan has music by AR Rahman, cinematography by Santosh Sivan, V. Manikandan, editing by Sreekar Prasad and action by Sham Kaushal, Peter Hein. It is slated for a worldwide release on June 18th.
