Kapoor attends recording sessions with A R Rahman

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays a musician in Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar is taking special interest in the making of the film’s music. He’s making frequent trips to Chennai, where composer A R Rahman is recording the songs of the film.

This is the first time RK plays a rock star and is working with the Oscar-winning composer. Much like his seniors, he is taking keen interest in the stronger elements of his film.

Informs a source, “Rahman is working on the film in his Chennai studio. Whenever Ranbir finds the time, he sits in on the sessions.”

Adds the source, “These recording sessions are helping RK pick up the nuances of a singer. He is very observant and likes to see how Rahman puts together the entire song and how the singer croons it. He is thoroughly enjoying being part of these music sessions.”

There are around 10 songs in the film. Ranbir has shot for all the songs except one, which he will be shooting next month with a live audience. Newbie Nargis Fakhri co-stars.
