Parthepan is all set to play a detective in a television series that’ll be directed by Gautham Menon

Here’s the latest on actor Parthepan. The latest we hear is that the versatile actor will soon be working with director Gautham Menon on a script, for which music will be composed by A R Rahman. And the big news is that this combination will soon rock the small screen! Yes, Gautham Menon is all set to direct Parthepan in a detective series that will feature on a popular television channel. And, he’s managed to rope in the Oscar-winning composer to score the music for this series.

Confirming the news, Parthepan says, “Gautham and I have been discussing the possibility of making a television series for a long time. Gautham has the script ready and he was keen to make it on par with Hollywood standards. He didn’t want to make just any other serial. Currently, he’s worked on a script which will have me playing a detective. Gautham will be producing and directing it and A R Rahman will be scoring the music for the television series that will be on the lines of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation).”

The actor reveals that they were planning to release the teaser trailer of their show during the recent celebrations of the directors’ union’s 40th anniversary. “We wanted to announce our venture officially on that occasion but due to lack of time, didn’t,” says the actor, who got the VTV filmmaker to dub for actor Milind Soman in his Vitthagan.

The actor’s Vitthagan is almost ready for release. “I will be shooting a song in Poland next month. It’s one of the few locations where not many Tamil films have been shot. The film will hit screens after the election results are announced,” he says. The film, he stresses, will definitely click with the audience. am sure of it because I’ve shown the film to a few people and loved their reaction. In fact, when editor Anthony saw the cut before the BGM had been scored, he was so enthusiastic that he started whistling!
