Oscar-winning musician, A. R. Rahman’s North American leg of his Jai Ho concerts have been cancelled when an accidental infrastructure collapsed and damaged the set, injuring a few of the crew members in Detroit. The world tour schedules were disrupted because the stage erected at the Pontiac Silverdome came crashing down. Though shows in New York, New Jersey, Washington DC and Chicago were super successful, the rest of the concert has been cancelled. Though nothing is confirmed as yet Rahman had decided to re-schedule the North American leg of his concerts but last week he made the decision to cancel his remaining North American tour stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Vancouver and Houston. Though he is going ahead with European and UK concerts, the North American leg dates most likely will be rescheduled for September. Rahman’s world tour is most likely to resume in Zurich on July 16 followed by a string of concerts across UK and Europe.
